A housekeeper contest of boutique homestays in northwestern Beijing's Yanqing district was held on April 20, with an aim to upgrade the homestay service and embrace the coming Labor Day holiday.
The contest included dinner table setting for Chinese banquets and making a homestay bed. On the sideline of the contest, a display of local food feasts from 14 boutique homestays in Yanqing was also held, presenting a gala for foodies.
A homestay housekeeper refers to a person who offers customized services related to lodging, catering and tourism guidance.
Yanqing has organized a series of training to enhance the homestay catering service since November 2022, such as Chinese cuisine cooking and low tea pastry making.
